100 Years of Fraternity & Sorority Life
Greek Life Centennial
In 1915 the University of Arizona welcomed the first national organization, Kappa Sigma, and in 2015 the community celebrated 100 years of fraternity and sorority life at the University. The fraternity and sorority community has been home to 90 organizations since it began in 1900 and there are over 50,000 alumni who have been members of our Wildcat Greek community! The last 100 years have been marked with traditions of excellence and Wildcat pride. The memories of bid days, candle passings, and chapter events with brothers and sisters remain with members many decades after they graduate. These connections are the bonds that tie all Greeks together. Fraternities and sororities inspire members to leave a lasting legacy so that future Wildcats can follow in their footsteps.
The University of Arizona Fraternity and Sorority community has a rich history dating back to the early 1900s. Please explore the history and send any photos or items to add to the timeline to dos-greek@email.arizona.edu.
